Somewhere along the way, hustle became a flex. We’ve been sold the idea that success means growth at all costs. That busyness equals value. If you’re not teetering on the edge of burnout - are you really even trying?
Entrepreneurship has become something to worship. The ‘scale fast’ mentality placed on a pedestal.
But behind the glossy founder stories, the cracks are showing and more of us are starting to ask if there’s a better way.
I’m Rebecca Jarvie-Gibbs, founder of culture agency Example. And for a long time, I chased the high of the hustle - until I hit a wall. Tired. Out of breath. Completely disconnected from the spark that got me started.
So I began asking myself: what if success didn’t always have to always feel like struggle?
Welcome to Fine Form. A sharp and meaningful conversation about work, drive and what it takes to build a career - and a life - that actually fits.
ABOUT REBECCA
I’ve spent nearly two decades shaping cultural relevance for brands across Australia and the UK.
My career took off early - working with global names in London at 22, leading PR for Australia’s leading hospitality group at 25 and launching my own agency at 28. I reached every milestone I wanted to on paper, but inside, I was waiting for the ground to give away.
When burnout collided with the birth of my child, I was forced to rethink everything I’d built and the version of success I’d tied to constant pressure and overdrive.
That reckoning became the foundation for Fine Form, the platform I’ve created to share what I’ve learned and now live by.
Fine Form isn’t about taking the easy road. I truly believe that building a life you actually want takes graft, discipline and focus.
I just no longer believe that constant self-sacrifice has to be the entry fee.
I believe that professional resonance comes from aligning your ambition, values and habits. Here’s why.
AMBITION DRIVES YOU
Ambition isn’t just about what you’re working toward, it’s your relationship with work itself. When ambition is rooted in external validation - productivity, busyness or approval - it can turn on you. But when it’s grounded in purpose and self-respect, ambition becomes the force behind meaningful, sustainable success.
VALUES GROUND YOU
One of my life’s mottos is ‘don’t chase what drains you’. Your energy is data. Listen to it. When the way you work strays too far from what matters, resistance builds as fatigue, frustration or resentment. The clearer you are on your values, the easier it is to spot what aligns, what needs to shift and what no longer fits.
HABITS SUSTAIN YOU
Progress doesn’t require strict routines set up for failure, it needs habits that support the way you actually live and work. The right systems reduce friction and create space. They should simplify your day, protect your energy and help you move forward with clarity and ease.
THE FINE PRINT
These are the thoughts, questions and habits shaping how I live, lead and build.
